Apocalypse is a Top-Down tower-defense gamemode that released on October 14, 2024.

Here are some tips for each role:
Defender:[]
Use your Stoneburster to go fight the Horde!
Builder:[]
Go find rocks to mine with your Pickaxe to get Dynamic terrain to protect the vault.
Ranger:[]
Go into the distance and find any stragglers from the Horde that are stuck on props or are staying behind and defeat them with your Prickler.
Tank:[]
Stay near the vault to defeat any big bosses with your Twister that come too close!
Healer:[]
Play as a different role at the start. Then, once you have enough crystals, switch to this role and heal up the vault! If you're playing multi-player, someone else can start as one of the attacker roles (Defender, Ranger, Tank, or technically Miner) and you pick up the crystals of the enemies they defeat. Note that you can only have 15 Crystals at a time

Get ready to defend!
Your group is stranded and zombies are attacking the hatch to your underground base.
No one knows where these creatures came from or why they’re here. All we know is that you’ll need all your skills to defend the hatch.
In this fast-paced 2D game mode, you’ll answer questions to gain energy, allowing you to move, mine, build, and defend.
Before the game starts, you'll choose your role that will help you best defend the vault:
- Builders mine stone and build or can share with teammates to help defend
- Rangers launch projectiles from further away, but slower and longer reload times
- Tanks deal heavier damage but move slower
- Healers collect crystals dropped by zombies and deposit them at the vault to repair it
Choose wisely, your group will need different skills to keep the zombies at bay!
The Horde[]
The Horde is the main enemies of the game. They come in different numbers depending on the wave and the number of players and do not target players, but the base. If they do enough damage to the base, the game ends.

Notes[]
- The descriptions are "Defend the base!" and "Play your role to defend the base against zombies!"
- The banner is used for the second image in the how-to-play.
- A tip for single player is to select Tank and stay near the bunker, collecting gems. Then, switch to Healer and heal up the base. Switch back to Tank and continue the pattern.
- The spaceship from One Way Out can be seen in the upper-right corner of the map along with Dr. Synapse who says he will talk to you if you reach wave 40 without the vault taking damage.
- The Weapon used the most is the Hammer
Lore[]
- The Alphastar is seen in the upper right corner of the map, which could mean this is where the Gims crash landed after the escape.
- The Alphastar can be seen with multiple OWO plants on it, meaning the Gims weren't 100% able to escape the evil plants.
- Dr. Synapse says these lines of dialogue:
- "Okay, it looks like you are a fighter and I could use you."
- "Well, first things first. My name isn’t Dr. Synapse. My name is Dr. Aventon."
- "When we…landed here, I had to go undercover. After what happened to the ship, I knew the NSC would come after for me for the damages.
- "My ship, the Alphastar? It crash landed here. The plants on our ship started becoming sentient and evil when I began watering them with Chemical Supreme."
- "I’m not proud of it, but I made a side deal because NSC doesn’t pay the best. I was given orders to water those plants with Chemical Supreme and make it look like it was my idea."
- "Turtlestone."
- "Yes. And Turtlestone wouldn’t have asked me to do that unless she knew what it would do…to all of us. I bet she doesn’t know I’m alive."
- "I need to repair the ship and head home. Some questions need to be answered like how Turtlestone knew plants would behave that way under Chemical Supreme. And why she wanted the Alphastar and my crew gone."
- "I could use your help if you wouldn’t mind. It’s not going to be easy to get justice for what happened."
