The Basics[]
Once signing into Gimkit, a player unlocks the Cosmetics system. This system uses XP earned from eligible 2D Game Modes to earn GimBucks, which can then be exchanged for Gims, Stickers, and Trails, Gims, trails, and stickers are not buy able during the summertime, but will be able to again once the new school year has begun. During the summer time, players can still use the Cosmetics they purchased previously in their Locker, allowing them to be used when they're playing a 2D Game Mode. They can be obtained through the item shop, or from the season tickets. There are three different types of cosmetics:
Gims[]

Gims were revealed on April 4, 2022 and were released on April 12, 2022. They are the skin that you use in-game, replacing the Default Gim. Some have different animations, transparent insides, or different body parts. The first Gim released was Day One. Gims can be used for any number of reasons such as flexing your rare Gim, hiding better with a transparent Gim, or just because you think a Gim matches you well. Gims can range between 0-2000
.[1]
Stickers[]

Sticker Reveal
Stickers were revealed on August 1, 2022 and were released on September 20, 2022. Stickers, unlike Gims and Trails can only be used while waiting for the host to start the game. Once the game starts, the stickers disappear. In order to place a sticker, you click the sticker button in the top left of your screen, then click the one you want. You can customize the way it gets placed by changing the placement(above, exact, below), or changing the size(normal, large, extra large, small). The first sticker to release was Origin Trophy. Stickers can range between 0-350
.
Trails[]

Trails released on April 18, 2023. Josh Feinsilber's description for them is "Trails fly off your Gim as you move around & leave their mark for a little while. Kinda like footsteps!" Most trails fall and fade after coming out from behind your Gim but some such as Splat! stay where you were and disappear after a longer interval of time. The first trail released was Origin Token. Trails can range in price from 0 to 1200
Leveling Up[]
Playing any 2D mode (any mode that uses your Gim) awards XP. 300 XP is awarded every minute, provided you've answered a question in the previous minute. To level up, you need 1,000 XP. Leveling up awards 100 GimBucks.
The amount of XP one can earn each week is limited. Accounts without the current Season Ticket can only earn 15,000 XP each week, while accounts with the Season Ticket can earn 20,000 XP. The limit resets every Wednesday at 2:00 pm EST.
Packs[]
Packs can be purchased for 30. Each pack has a certain theme and contains different cosmetics. There are currently 4 packs in the shop seen below.
